Which telescope suits you?
When looking through a telescope, pay particular attention to the opening: the diameter of the lens or mirror in millimeters. The larger the opening, the more light and detail you see. The magnification that sometimes appears large on the box says little. Above about twice the opening in millimeters, the image only becomes larger, not sharper.
For most beginners we recommend a dobson telescope Yes. You get a lot of value for your money, it doesn't require any complicated assembly, you just put it down and watch it. If you mainly want to look at the moon and planets and want something compact that doesn't need to be adjusted, then a telescope is perfect. refractor telescope or a Maksutov telescope Better. If you want to take photos of nebulae and galaxies without first delving into astrophotography, check out smart telescopes like the DWARF and the Seestar. If you're unsure between watching and photographing, read on. Smart telescope or Dobson.

What do you really see through a telescope?
With a telescope you can see the craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn and the clouds and moons of Jupiter with your own eyes. You can also see clouds and galaxies, but they are weak gray spots and not in color as seen in photos. Those colors come from a camera that collects light for minutes. You can read about what it looks like in real life in what do you see through a telescope. If you want to capture those colors yourself, a smart telescope will do it for you.
Accessories, binoculars and spotting scopes
The eyepieces that come with a beginner telescope are usually simple. A better eyepiece is often the cheapest way to get more out of your telescope, and a moon filter makes looking at a full moon much more pleasant. You can find them at ocular lenses and barlow lenses and at Moon and planet filters. If you want to look at the sun, always use a sun filter that fits over the opening of your telescope and never a filter that you screw into the eyepiece. You can read more about safely looking at the sun in sun filter for your telescope.
If you also look at birds or the water during the day, you will get more out of it. binoculars or a spotting scope. They give a straight image, which most telescopes do not do.
