The Omegon Dobson 76/300 is made for the very first steps under the starry sky. You place it on a table, aim it by hand, and look. No settings, no prior knowledge. With a height of 40 cm and weighing around 1.6 kg, this is a telescope you can take anywhere.

The 76 mm mirror captures about 116 times more light than the naked eye. Moon craters, Jupiter's moons, and Saturn's rings appearing as a small ear on the planet: it's all within reach of this tabletop model.

Four eyepieces and a 2x Barlow

With the four included eyepieces, you can choose from 15x, 24x, 50x, and 75x magnification. Always start low: at 15x, you'll find objects easily and the image will be the brightest. The 2x Barlow lens doubles each magnification.

Honest advice: the image is at its best around 50x to 75x magnification. The SR 4mm eyepiece with a Barlow lens theoretically reaches 150x, but with this tube length, it's only usable during very calm atmospheric conditions.

Dobson control: easy for children to understand

Up, down, left, right: you simply move the tube by hand, and it stays where you leave it. This makes this tabletop model ideal as a first telescope for children and as a gift for the whole family.

The peek-along telescope for vacation and sleepovers

With a height of 40 cm, it fits in a weekend bag. At the campsite or on grandpa and grandma's patio, it's ready in a minute. The erecting lens provides an upright image, so practicing on a church tower during the day is also possible.
