The ATR585M is the monochrome version of the ATR585C. The Sony IMX585 STARVIS 2 1/1.2-inch sensor has 3840 x 2160 pixels at 2.9 micrometers and is also sensitive to near-infrared light. Without a color matrix, each pixel captures all the light, which with narrow-band filters (H-alpha, OIII, SII) or LRGB filters yields more detail and contrast than a color camera.
The Tweetraps Peltier cooling system brings the sensor to 45 degrees below the ambient temperature. There is no amplifier glow, the camera has 512 MB DDR3 buffer and heating in four settings against condensation.
For cooling, the camera needs a stable 12 volt power supply of 3 amps. The power adapter is included; you can also use a good lithium battery from 11 to 14 volts outside.
The camera works with ToupSky, SharpCap, N.I.N.A. and other programs via ASCOM or INDI. Please note: the ZWO ASIAIR only supports ZWO cameras. If you want to work wirelessly, the ToupTek StellaVita is the controller that comes with this camera.
Who is this camera for?
Hello who wants to work with filters and want to shoot fog in narrow bands from the city.
Not If you want a color photo in one go without a filter wheel, then take the ATR585C.
