The next step in smart astrophotography: dual 4K
The ZWO Seestar S30 Pro marks a significant step forward within the Seestar family. Two 4K observation modes, a quadruplet APO primary lens, and improved AI image processing allow it to capture far more of the night sky than its predecessors. From nebulae and star clusters to large-scale structures in the Milky Way: you can capture them in sharp, detailed images, all in a body weighing less than 2 kg—about the size of a book.

Quadruplet APO with dual 4K sensors
The four-lens apochromat delivers color-pure, sharp stars all the way to the edge of the image, and the two 4K sensors cover both detailed work and wide-field shots. This allows you to photograph the Orion Nebula in detail and the complete Milky Way arc with the same device. The improved AI stacks, deblooms, and enhances in real-time, while advanced users get more manual control than ever before within the Seestar line.

Grows with you
Beginners place the device down, tap an object, and see results within minutes. Advanced users work with more professional functions for lighting and processing. The app guides both groups, and the device aims, tracks, and focuses completely autonomously.

Supplied complete
Sun filter, USB-C cable, carrying bag, and tripod are included in the box as standard, plus a set of astronomy stickers. With the sun filter, you can safely observe sunspots during the day, and at night, the deep-sky mode takes over. All together light enough for any backpack.

For whom yes, for whom no
For: those who are getting into smart astrophotography now and want the sharpest device in its class, or S30 and S50 owners who want to make the jump to 4K. Not for: those who mainly want to look visually through an eyepiece; a smart telescope displays the image on your screen.

Quickly ready, with the first clear sky, you get results. Nice app for a beginner. The learning curve for editing is quite steep; the default in the Seestar app isn't the best you can get. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

Great device. If you want to get into astrophotography and don't have space in your house for a standard setup, this tool is your choice. The app itself is user-friendly, however, you need to use it a bit before getting familiar since it has many options to control the scope. Also, the Telescoop team is fantastic.
