Bring the night sky to life with a compact powerhouse

This compact but impressively capable smart telescope takes a clear step forward. The Seestar S30 Pro combines two 4K-resolution observation modes, a quadruplet APO main optics and improved AI performance to a system that gets noticeably more out of the night sky.

Whether you want to capture deep-sky objects with minimal effort, or are looking for more control with more professional functions, this smart telescope grows with you. From nebulae and star clusters to broad structures in our Galaxy: you bring them into sharp, detailed focus wherever you observe.

Its power is not only in its performance, but also in its convenience. You set it up quickly, let the software do the heavy lifting, and meanwhile enjoy razor-sharp astronomical images that were previously possible only with much larger setups.

With the ZWO Seestar S30 Pro take impressive astrophotos in just a few taps on your screen. In a compact body weighing less than 2 pounds, about the size of a book, there is a surprising amount of technology: advanced astro-AI, multiple 4K image sensors, apochromatic optics, built-in motors and filters, and smart software that does the heavy lifting for you.

You explore the universe without fuss. From detailed nebulae and galaxies to wide shots of the Galaxy, and even objects closer to home: the Seestar automatically focuses, focuses, and immediately starts collecting and combining images. Within minutes, you'll see details appear that are normally only achievable with more complex setups.

The strength of this smart telescope lies in its combination of simplicity and control. The automatic stacking, AI-assisted image processing and an extremely simple start-up procedure make astrophotography accessible even if you don't have a technical background. At the same time, features such as schedule recordings, RAW files and a EQ mode for those who want more influence on the end result.

Whether you are looking for maximum performance in a compact form, or just a relaxed way to capture the universe without settings stress: the ZWO Seestar S30 Pro adapts to your level and way of observing.

What's new about the Seestar S30 Pro?

The ZWO Seestar S30 Pro is not a minor update, but a clear further development of the original S30 platform. The telescope remains equally compact, light and portable, but delivers noticeably more performance. Consider higher resolution, better optics, smarter AI processing, a additional observation mode and expanded connectivity and storage.

AI image enhancement

Built-in astronomical AI lets you create images with more depth and contrast without manual post-processing. This on-board intelligence analyzes each shot and automatically optimizes details, dynamic range and background gradients. Advanced noise reduction is applied while preserving subtle textures, so nebulae and galaxies stand out more clearly.

The AI additionally recognizes objects in the foreground, so that in Milky Way shots, the starry sky and horizon are automatically merged naturally. During the day, the same system can be used for relaxed nature and landscape observation, where moving objects such as animals can be tracked without complex settings.

4K wide-angle lens

With the S30 series, ZWO already introduced a second camera perspective, but the S30 Pro clearly goes further in this regard. The wide-angle camera offers an impressive 63° field of view, allowing you to capture a much broader part of the sky or environment.

This second camera makes it possible to stack starry sky shots at wide angle, with sharp 4K details thanks to the Sony IMX586 sensor. This is ideal for Milky Way photography and wide star fields. During the day, use the same wide angle to explore landscapes or nature, then easily switch to the main camera to bring specific details closer.

Professional features, easily accessible

The ZWO Seestar S30 Pro makes stargazing and astrophotography remarkably easy, and all while there's an impressive amount of technology under the hood. Put the telescope down, launch the app, and within a few taps it automatically aligns to your target. No manual alignment, no settings stress. Just look ... and capture!

Quickly ready, with the first clear sky, you get results. Nice app for a beginner. The learning curve for editing is quite steep; the default in the Seestar app isn't the best you can get. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

  7. Giacomo Rossi (verified owner) -

Great device, if you want to approach astrophotography and don’t have space in your house for a standard setup, this tool is your choice. The app itself is user-friendly, however you need to use it a bit before getting familiar since it has many options to control the scope in it. Also, the Telescoop team is fantastic.
