The combination of 150 mm aperture and 1200 mm focal length (f/8) is made for detail: the Moon, planets, and double stars appear calm and high-contrast. f/8: contrast and sharpness at high magnification
At f/8, eyepieces are less critical, and the image remains sharp even at high magnification. The 150 mm primary mirror gathers approximately 459 times more light than the naked eye. This allows you to see globular clusters and bright nebulae. For cloud bands on Jupiter and the Cassini division in Saturn's rings, this design is hard to beat in this price range.
Sturdy wooden mount
The wooden rockerbox stands on the ground and moves smoothly in height and direction. No tripod, no counterweights. The included lens solar filter also makes safe solar observation possible.
