Light, compact, and portable

The Zoomion 70 mm AZ The Pioneer 70 AZ is a lightweight and versatile telescope for beginners who want to observe both the Moon and distant terrestrial objects. Its compact design and included tabletop tripod make this model ideal for spontaneous observations, at home or on the go.

Wide field of view with natural colors

The achromatic 70 mm lens consists of two optical glass elements and provides a bright, sharp image with natural colors. The short focal length of 360 mm (f/5.1) is designed for wide-angle observations: the Moon appears large and high-contrast, with numerous craters and shadowed edges. Even in twilight, the image remains bright, which is pleasant for viewing distant animals or landscapes.

Complete set for day and night

With the 20mm and 6mm eyepieces, you can vary from low to higher magnifications, and the 3x Barlow lens further increases magnification, with around 140x being realistically useful. The 1.5x erecting lens and the 45-degree Amici prism provide an upright image for daytime use. At only 2.5 kg, the telescope even fits in carry-on luggage and is ready in minutes.

Featured accessories

With the Omegon Smartphone Adapter 25 to 48 mm (14.90 euros) you take your first moon photo through the eyepiece. The bright Moon requires short shutter speeds, so the lack of tracking plays no role there.

For whom yes, for whom no

Suitable for: Beginners and travelers looking for a lightweight, easy-to-deploy viewer for the Moon and nature. Not suitable for: Those seeking high magnifications of planets or deep-sky objects; the short focal length is designed for wide, bright images.

  1. Renske (verified owner) -

Nice telescope for the price. Easy to assemble. Adjusting the finder scope is a bit of a hassle but essential. Great instructions. This telescope is really for beginners, does exactly what it promises.
