Telescoop.nl respects your privacy. In this statement, we explain what personal data we process, why we do so, and what rights you have under the GDPR.

1. What data do we process?

When you place an order or contact us, we process:

Name, address, and city (for delivery and billing);
email address and phone number;
Payment details;
the content of your messages to our customer service (email, phone, WhatsApp);
IP address and browsing behavior (via cookies, see point 6);
VAT and Chamber of Commerce details (for business clients).

2. What do we use your data for?

We use your data exclusively for:

handling your order, payment, and any returns;
customer service and correspondence regarding your order;
sending our newsletter only if you have explicitly signed up for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email;
a one-time invitation to write a review after your purchase;
Statutory administrative obligations (Tax Administration).

When processing customer service messages, we use automated tools to assist our team in drafting responses. A human agent remains responsible for the handling, and no automated decisions with legal consequences for you are made based on this.

3. With whom do we share your data?

Your data will never be sold. We only share it with parties necessary to provide our services, such as:

The parcel carrier that delivers your order (PostNL, DHL, DPD, GLS, or UPS);
our payment provider, for processing your payment;
our newsletter and review service providers, solely for the purposes under point 2.

We enter into data processing agreements with parties that process data on our behalf. Processing outside the EU only takes place in accordance with the GDPR.

4. How long do we keep your data?

We do not store your data for longer than necessary for the purposes stated above. For order and invoice data, the statutory fiscal retention period of 7 years applies. We delete newsletter data after unsubscribing.

5. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, including SSL encryption of the entire website, a strict password policy, and regular backups. Only employees who need it for their work have access to your data.

6. Cookies

Our website uses functional cookies (necessary for your shopping cart and login status, among other things) and analytical cookies to improve the site. You can disable or delete cookies via your browser settings.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data at any time, as well as the right to restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. Would you like to exercise these rights? Email us at [email protected]; we will respond within 30 days at the latest.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
