Telescoop.nl aims to make the wonders of the universe more accessible to everyone. We combine practical experience, reliable delivery, and in-depth knowledge, and collaborate with organizations that want to enhance science, education, or experiential learning with a focus on the universe—from schools and universities to amusement parks and public institutions.
View telescopes in Sneek
Would you rather see a telescope in person first? You can do that at our store in Sneek (Friesland), where we have a selection of telescopes and mounts. Please note: not all models from our range are available there. If you would like to see a specific model or receive personal advice on your choice, please always make an appointment first via [email protected], because without an appointment, there isn't always someone present who can advise you on the telescopes. We sell mainly online: for honest and fast advice, you can always email, WhatsApp, or call us.
Societal cooperation with VONK!
At VONK! in Sneek, people in a learning-work program handle the assembly and shipping of some of our orders. This means every telescope you receive also represents an opportunity for employment and development.
Sponsor of Astroforum.nl
Telescoop.nl is a proud sponsor of Astroforum.nl, the largest Dutch-language community for amateur astronomy. We support the sharing of knowledge and experience within the hobby.
Collaboration with SSVI
Jean-Pierre Grootaerd is a well-known name in amateur astronomy and brings astronomy to the classroom with SSVI from Ghent. View their Educational offerings for schools or SSVI in a box, which allows students to build a telescope themselves.
The Weerribben Observatory
In the middle of the nature reserve between Ossenzijl and Kalenberg, there is the Sterrenwacht de Weerribben, with one of the largest public-accessible telescopes in the Netherlands: a 60 cm mirror. Wim Liesker organizes public evenings for adults and children there, workshops and boat trips to the observatory, and shows live images on the large screen using a smart telescope. View the program weerribben.eu/sterrenwacht.
Bringing people closer to the stars together
Our passion extends beyond the showroom. In the classroom, at a holiday park, or during a public event: by combining knowledge, experience, and technology, we make space accessible for young and old. Do you want your organization to be part of this? Then check out the initiative at http://ontdekhetuniversum.nl/!
