Shipping in the Netherlands and Belgium
Products that are in stock, you have within 24 hours, except on Sundays, depending on the carrier and brand. Once your package has been registered, you will receive a track & trace code. During holidays and busy periods, please allow for a small margin: logistics remains a human endeavor, and we are also dependent on the parcel service's sorting centers.
Do you order from Belgium? On our page buy telescope in Belgium you can find all shipping costs per product type, payment methods (including Bancontact), and delivery times clearly summarized.
International Shipping
We ship to almost all of Europe, including:
Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, as well as Switzerland and Norway.
The exact shipping costs and delivery time for your country can be seen in the checkout before you pay. We also deliver outside of Europe; if your country is not listed, please email us to discuss the possibilities.
Please note for deliveries outside the EU (such as Switzerland and Norway): local customs may charge import duties or taxes. These are separate from our shipping costs and are determined by the local government. For large purchases, it's advisable to check with your customs office in advance to avoid surprises.
Telescopes larger than 6 inches
Large instruments, such as substantial Dobsons and large Newtonian reflectors, require extra care. They are shipped in double-walled, reinforced packaging and weigh too much for standard shipping rates. Therefore, the transport of any telescope with an aperture larger than 6 inches falls outside of our regular standard rates and incurs a shipping surcharge. The surcharge is fairly calculated based on the volume and weight of your telescope; you will see the exact amount in the checkout before you pay. This way, we ensure that your valuable optics are transported with the necessary attention and do not end up at the bottom of a pile of heavy boxes.
To prevent damage, we are also shipping these telescopes in two separate boxes: the optical tube in one, the mount with tripod or rockerbox and accessories in the other. This way the weight per box remains manageable and we spread the risk. The boxes can get separated during the sorting process; it often happens that the second part arrives a workday later. So don't panic if you receive a "half" telescope: check your track & trace, the second package is almost always on its way.
Would you prefer we bring it to you?
For all our articles within the Netherlands, we offer a delivery service: we personally deliver your telescope, in one complete shipment, and can help you with the initial setup if desired. Interested? Mention it with your order or email us in advance, and we will schedule a time that suits you and inform you immediately about the cost for your address.
Damage during transport
We pack our items carefully, but very occasionally something goes wrong in the shipping network. If you notice dents, tears, or holes in the box upon arrival, please take a few photos right away—even if the contents appear to be intact. If you discover damage to the instrument itself while unpacking it, please email us right away at [email protected] with photos of both the damage and the packaging.
You don't need to worry about anything: the transport risk is with us until the moment of delivery. Your prompt notification and photos help us to claim damages from the carrier, and we will immediately arrange a replacement or another suitable solution.
