Omegon Pro APO AP 71/490 Quadruplet OTA 71mm Refractor: flat field of view and eyepieces in a package
The Omegon Pro AP 71/490 is the most complete compact apochromat from the Pro line: a quadruplet with ED glass and integrated field flattener, supplied with an Amici prism and two eyepieces. Photographing with a flat field straight out of the box, and enjoying visual observation in between: this tube does both without additional purchases.
An apochromat converges all colors to a focal point. Stars remain white and point-like, without the purple edges of simple lenses: precisely what a camera sensor would mercilessly reveal.

Quadruplet with built-in corrector
The integrated flattener makes separate correctors and extension rings unnecessary: stars remain point-like even in the corners of the sensor. The 2.5-inch focuser with 1:10 reduction allows for fine-tuning focus, even with a full camera train.
With the included 20mm and 8mm eyepieces, you can view star fields, the Moon, and bright nebulae at 25x and 61x, or observe nature during the day using the upright image Amici prism.

Featured accessories
The Omegon Powerbank 10k 12V (€39.90) powers mounts and cameras on the go. The Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch filter (€89) brings out emission nebulae, and an Omegon Premium Moon filter (€19.90) dims the bright Moon for visual use.
For whom yes, for whom no
For those seeking an apochromat that excels at both astrophotography and visual observation. Not for those who primarily photograph and where every gram counts; the AP 40/180 or the 61/360 with reducer would then be lighter and more cost-effective. Uncertain between the models? Choice assistant helpt. More Omegon is on the merk page.
