Omegon 80/500 Pro APO ED Carbon OTA: FPL-53 on carbon

The Omegon 80/500 Pro APO ED Carbon combines a TrueColor doublet of FPL-53 and S-NBM51 glass with a carbon fiber tube that is light, stiff, and thermally stable: less refocusing when temperatures drop at night. At f/6.3, this is the all-rounder for astrophotography on EQ5-class mounts and demanding visual observation.

An apochromat converges all colors to a focal point. Stars remain white and point-like, without the purple edges of simple lenses: precisely what a camera sensor would mercilessly reveal.

Power Linear Crayford: heavy-duty

The 2-inch Power Linear Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro-fine adjustment carries full-size camera trains without slipping and rotates 360 degrees for proper framing. The field is suitable for full-frame sensors without vignetting; with the matching flattener, it also becomes flat all the way to the corners.

The aluminum transport case is included: this system is made for travel.
