FMA180: The original widefield specialist from Askar

The Askar FMA180 is a compact apochromat, built for widefield astrophotography. With a 40 mm aperture and 180 mm focal length, it operates at a fast f/4.5: complete constellations, the Milky Way, and large nebulae fields fit comfortably in the frame, with short exposure times and low noise.

Integrated corrector, direct flat image

The built-in corrector keeps stars round in the corners, without a separate flattener. You can directly connect system and DSLR cameras via the T2 connection, and the included tube rings and dew shield make the tube ready for use on a star tracker or light mount. This is also a surprisingly versatile instrument as a super telephoto lens for wildlife photography.
