Fluorostar 120 in het klassieke rood: triplet met lanthaanglas
The William Optics Fluorostar 120 Red delivers a calm, clear, and true-to-color image. The triplet lens made of FPL-53 and lanthanum glass keeps stars point-like without chromatic aberration: double stars appear beautifully separated, and cloud bands and ring structure are immediately noticeable on Jupiter and Saturn.
Lots of light for deep-sky and planets
The 120mm aperture at a 780mm focal length (f/6.5) captures a lot of light: short exposures for nebulae and galaxies, and enough resolution for serious planetary work, visually and photographically. The Losmandy dovetail securely mounts the tube on a medium-duty equatorial mount, the Vixen/Sky-Watcher accessory shoe accepts the guidescope, and the Bahtinov mask makes focusing precise.
