Sky-Watcher Skyliner-350P FlexTube SynScan GoTo: 14 inch self-aligning
This mount couples the 355 mm parabolic mirror (f/4.5) with SynScan GoTo, featuring 42,900 objects and automatic tracking. The dual encoders maintain alignment, even if you move the tube manually. At this size, GoTo isn't a matter of laziness but efficiency: the mirror can find objects that would otherwise require a fifteen-minute search without a computer.
What do you see through the 350P GoTo?
Just like with the manual 350P: 36% offers more light than a 12-inch telescope, revealing the structure of galaxies and nebulae, and planetary detail that continues to amaze on clear nights. Automatic tracking makes high magnifications a breeze: the object stays right where you’re looking, even if you let someone else take a look for a moment.
Crayford focuser with T2: ready for a camera experiment
The 2-inch Crayford focuser has a T2 mount for a DSLR or mirrorless camera: short exposures of the moon and planets are possible directly with it. For visual work, all common eyepieces fit via the included adapters.
This is how to get the most out of this telescope
- To them, in part: Disassemble the mount and motorized rocker box separately; expect two people for stairs. Plan the route to your observation spot accordingly.
- Close the open section: A light shroud around the extended truss keeps stray light and dew out. The standard upgrade for FlexTube models.
- Allow for at least an hour to cool down For the large mirror, especially in winter.
- Collimation at f/4.5 is a fixed ritual on transport; our guide to collimation It takes two minutes.
- Use a power tank: The GoTo motors run on 12V and cold nights drain battery capacity. An external battery will keep it going all night.
- For planets: a 6 mm planetary eyepiece gives 267x, for the best nights; this mirror size can handle that well on good nights.

Hello The deep-sky observer who wants maximum aperture and maximum observation time per evening, and who regularly lets the public look: the telescope holds the target while you talk.
Not Those who prefer to invest the price difference with the manual 350P into eyepieces will choose that version. Long exposures belong to the smart telescopes; short camera recordings via T2 can indeed be done here.
