The Omegon Pro RC 154/1370 In its classic version, this is the most affordable Ritchey-Chrétien in the range: hyperbolic BK7 glass mirrors with a high-reflectivity coating, integrated baffle structure, and a 2/1.25-inch Crayford focuser. Connect a camera and start imaging; a corrector is not needed.

A Ritchey-Chrétien uses two hyperbolic mirrors: the design of virtually every professional observatory. The result is a large, coma-free field of view without a corrector: stars remain round all the way to the edges of the sensor.

Less post-processing, better results

Round stars to the edge mean less correction work in post-processing and more usable frames per night. The integrated baffles suppress stray light, so contrast is maintained even under a less dark sky.

The Losmandy dovetail attaches stably to serious mounts; at f/8.9, precise tracking or guiding is the key to success.
