Omegon Pro 85/510 Apochromatic Refractor Triplet ED FCD-100: Japanese FCD-100 glass for a sharp price

The Omegon Pro APO AP 85/510 Brings a triplet with Japanese Hoya FCD-100 glass within reach of a serious but manageable budget. This glass has extremely low chromatic aberration: stars remain truly white, nebulae retain their natural hues, and contrast remains high, from the center of the image to the edge.

An apochromat converges all colors to a focal point. Stars remain white and point-like, without the purple edges of simple lenses: precisely what a camera sensor would mercilessly reveal.

Triplet on a light mount

With an 85 mm aperture and 510 mm focal length (f/6), this is a full-fledged deep-sky astrograph that can still fit on a mid-range mount. The 2.5-inch rack and pinion focuser with reduction supports a complete camera train without slipping.
