The slim planet specialist among the Dobsons!
The Omegon Advanced X 152/1200 is the most affordable entry into the Advanced X line. The slim f/7.9 tube is a planetary specialist: calm, high-contrast images of the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn, with the simplicity of a Dobsonian. A Dobsonian consists of two parts: tube and rockerbox. Set it up, aim, and look. No alignment, no electronics, maximum mirror for your money.

f/7.9 parabolic optics
The 152 mm mirror captures approximately 472 times more light than the naked eye. With the 25 mm Plössl eyepiece, you view at 48x; with additional eyepieces, 30x to 240x is very usable, with the maximum being around 300x. The long focal length makes high magnification easy and forgives simpler eyepieces.

Smooth turning, fine focusing
The Teflon bearings with tension springs rotate smoothly in any direction, right up to the zenith. The parabolic primary mirror with 94% enhanced coating extracts merkbar more light from the same aperture than standard coatings. The 2-inch Crayford focuser, mounted on ball bearings, focuses smoothly and, with the adapter, also accommodates 1.25-inch eyepieces.

- Dobson rocker box with accessory tray
