With a 50 mm aperture, this finder scope gathers considerably more light than a 30 mm model. Fainter stars and bright deep-sky objects such as star clusters are thus brought into view, which makes aiming at faint targets much easier.

Optics

The achromatic optics deliver a bright and lifelike image, and the multi-coating prevents distracting reflections. At 9x magnification, you see enough detail to orient yourself without losing the overview.

Straight view

You look lengthwise through the finder, just like through the main telescope. That is intuitive for objects low in the sky; for objects high above you, the posture becomes less comfortable. That is what the right-angle version is intended for.

Featured accessories

Comes with a stable mount. Pay attention to the image orientation: a standard finder scope gives an inverted image, which makes comparing with a star chart more difficult. Versions with an upright image are more forgiving in that regard, especially for beginners.
