Omegon 150/750 Newton EQ-3: parabolic deep-sky entry on EQ-3
The Omegon 150/750 Newton EQ-3 The viewer with which deep-sky observation begins is a 150mm parabolic mirror that captures over 70 percent more light than a 114mm telescope and approximately 459 times more than the naked eye. The f/5 optics are wide enough for nebulae and sharp enough for planetary detail, on the sturdy EQ-3 mount.
A Newtonian reflector works with mirrors instead of lenses: large aperture for little money and a color-aberration-free image. Occasional collimation (aligning mirrors) is part of it; that can be done in a few minutes.




Parabolic: sharp to the edge
The parabolic primary mirror focuses the light precisely to a point. Stars remain pinpricks until the edge of the image, where a spherical mirror would become visibly out of focus with this fast f/5 optics.

EQ-3 with counterweights and slow motion
The EQ-3 carries the substantial tube smoothly and follows with slow-motion control on both axes. This way, your target stays in view, even at high magnification.

30x to 230x with the included set
With the 25 mm eyepiece, you look at 30x for an overview and nebulae; the 6.5 mm eyepiece provides 115x for planets. The 2x Barlow doubles this to 60x and 230x. The practical maximum for this aperture is around 300x.

Complete with red dot and accessory rail
The red dot finder makes aiming easy and the tripod has an accessory tray, so your eyepieces are within reach.

The Omegon laser collimator (€44.90) keeps the mirrors aligned; every Newtonian telescope should have one in its drawer. At f/5, regular collimation is really necessary. For those who want to seriously taste deep-sky on a tracking equatorial mount, also with a view to initial photo experiments of the Moon and planets.
