A smart home observatory in your garden
The Celestron Origin Mark II This elevates the concept of the smart telescope to observatory level. The renowned Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph optics (RASA, 152mm f/2.2) are paired with the new Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and an onboard computer. The system self-aligns, autofocuses, stacks images in real-time, and delivers deep-sky photos directly to your smartphone or tablet. No separate camera, no post-processing, no technical barrier.

RASA Optics: Extremely Fast at f/2.2
The RASA design was developed for astrophotography and captures more light in a short time than classic f/4 systems. Faint nebulae and galaxies appear after just a few seconds of exposure. The 152mm aperture and 335mm focal length provide a wide field of view that completely encompasses large objects like the Andromeda Galaxy.

Sony STARVIS 2: The New Generation Sensor
The built-in IMX678C sensor delivers 8.3 megapixels, over two megapixels more than the previous model, with lower noise levels and a greater dynamic range. The 2-micron pixels are optimally matched to the short focal length, offering a balanced combination of resolution and light output. The sensor operates in 16:9 format, so recordings fit directly onto widescreen displays and phones. Autofocus keeps the image sharp throughout the entire session.

Automatic dew control
The integrated dew shield with smart heating keeps the corrector plate permanently free of condensation. The system self-regulates based on current temperature and humidity data. This means your session will never be interrupted by a fogged-up lens, even on damp Dutch nights.

Live stacking and onboard AI image enhancement
The built-in computer recognizes star patterns via plate solving, aligns itself, and stacks the images in real-time. AI algorithms optimize contrast, color, and sharpness as you watch. In the Celestron Origin app, you'll see the image get deeper second by second, and you can share the result directly with family or friends.

From unboxing to first photo in minutes
Set up the tripod, turn it on, and open the app: the Origin does the rest. Alignment, focus, exposure, and processing are fully automated. Multiple viewers can watch along with their own devices simultaneously, ideal for a family night or stargazing group.

Thoughtful down to the details
The internal battery makes the setup completely wireless, and the silent drive follows the sky vibration-free. Additionally, the imaging system accepts standard filters, allowing for future expansion with, for example, a dual-band nebula filter for city observations.

For whom yes, for whom no
**For:** those who want to get the most out of smart deep-sky astrophotography and are looking for a system that will last for years, at the level of a small observatory. **Not for:** those who primarily want to travel compactly or are looking for a first introduction; in that case, check out the more compact smart telescopes in our range.
