The entire star field in one image: the fast richfield tube!

The Bresser AC 102/460 AR-102 is built for a wide overview. With f/4.5 you can capture complete star fields, the Milky Way, and large nebulae complexes in a single image. The 2.5-inch Hexafoc and the included T2 adapter also open the door to wide-field photography.

Fast richfield achromat

The 102 mm lens captures approximately 212 times more light than the naked eye. With the 26 mm eyepiece, you get 18x magnification with a very wide field of view. Honest advice: at f/4.5, this two-lens design shows chromatic aberration on bright objects; this tube isn't made for high planetary magnification, but it is very well-suited for rich star fields.

Which mount fits this?

The short, lightweight tube sits calmly on the Bresser EXOS-1/EQ-4 mount with tripod (€379); for long-exposure photography, the Bresser EXOS-2/EQ-5 mount with tripod (€539) or the Bresser EXOS-2 EQ GoTo mount (€998) is a better base. Via the Vixen-Style dovetail, the tube fits on any mount with a standard Vixen clamp.
