Bresser Messier EXOS-2 EQ GoTo Mount: the GoTo workhorse among the Messiers
The Bresser EXOS-2 EQ GoTo is an equatorial mount with a payload capacity of up to 13 kg (28.7 lb). This allows it to support refractors up to 152 mm and Newtonians up to 203 mm aperture, such as the Messier 150/750 and 203/1000. Ball bearings in both axes and a worm gear drive ensure smooth movements with minimal backlash.
The StarTracker GoTo system locates objects at the push of a button from a database of over 100,000 planets, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies, with a slewing speed of up to 2 degrees per second and nine tracking speeds.
The handheld controller
The multilingual hand box has an illuminated 8-line LCD screen. After a simple alignment procedure, the mount automatically positions any chosen object and then tracks it precisely.
Built for astrophotography
The ST-4 autoguider port makes the mount directly suitable for automatic guiding, for example with the Bresser AR90/500 guiding kit. The built-in polar finder scope enables precise polar alignment; for dark locations, there is the screw-on polar finder illuminator.
Solid foundation
The height-adjustable stainless steel tripod (69 to 109.5 cm / 27 to 43 inches) suppresses vibrations well. Tripod 4.7 kg, mounting head 6.7 kg, total with counterweight 15.9 kg (35 lb).
