Omegon AC 90/500 OTA: Rich field telescope with 2-inch Crayford

The Omegon AC 90/500 OTA is the adult wide-field scope of the line: 90 mm aperture, 500 mm focal length (f/5.6), and a 2-inch Crayford focuser. Including tube rings and a carrying bag, this is a serious travel scope, a wide-field binocular on an existing mount, or a reliable guide scope alongside a large telescope.

The achromatic doublet lens with multi-coating combines two types of glass to reduce chromatic aberration. At high magnification, a thin color fringe remains visible around bright objects; this is characteristic of this type of lens and does not interfere with normal use.

2-inch Crayford: smooth and heavy-duty

The Crayford focuser operates backlash-free and also supports heavy 2-inch wide-angle eyepieces. This allows you to get the maximum field of view out of the short focal length: entire star fields at a glance. The 1.25/2-inch adapter is included.

Sharp up to about 80x to 100x; above that, the f/5.6 achromat shows color fringing. For wide-field use and as a guide scope, that is not an objection at all.

Spotting scope or travel telescope

The included tube rings fit a standard dovetail plate, allowing the tube to be mounted next to or on top of a larger telescope. In its carrying case, it is a complete travel telescope that only requires a tripod.
