Omegon Pro 96/575 Apochromatic Refractor Triplet ED FCD-100: the entry into large triplets
The Omegon Pro APO AP 96/575 is the gateway to the large apochromats: 96 mm aperture with a triplet of Hoya FCD-100 glass, delivering near-fluorite quality. Stars remain point-like, nebulae show fine structure, and Saturn's rings stand out: visually and photographically in a class of its own.
An apochromat converges all colors to a focal point. Stars remain white and point-like, without the purple edges of simple lenses: precisely what a camera sensor would mercilessly reveal.

Fully assembled, ready for immediate use
CNC tube rings, Vixen dovetail bar, 2-inch/1.25-inch adapter, finder shoe, and retractable dew shield are included: click onto the mount and start observing. The internal baffling keeps contrast high, even with bright objects in the field of view.
At f/6, this is a versatile tube: fast enough for deep-sky photography, sharp enough for planetary work with an eyepiece.

The Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch filter (89 euros) brings out emission nebulae under light-polluted skies. Visually, the Omegon Cronus 7 mm eyepiece (79 euros) delivers a high-contrast 82x magnification, and the Omegon Powerbank 10k 12V (39.90 euros) powers the mount and camera on the go.
For whom yes, for whom no
Pros: anyone purchasing a large triplet for the first time and prioritizing quality per euro. Cons: anyone who wants full-frame flat to the corners; look at the 104/650 with field flattener or the 108/600 Quintuplet instead. Hesitating between the models? The Choice assistant helpt.
