Omegon 80/500 Pro APO ED Carbon OTA + Field Flattener: the complete full-frame solution
The Omegon 80/500 Pro APO ED Carbon with Field Flattener The photo-ready version of the 80/500 is the same FPL-53 optics and carbon tube, but with an optically matched 2-inch flattener included. The result is a sharply-defined, flat image across the entire sensor, even at full size.
An apochromat converges all colors to a focal point. Stars remain white and point-like, without the purple edges of simple lenses: precisely what a camera sensor would mercilessly reveal.

Plus: corners without star stripes
Without a corrector, every refractor field distorts the light; on small sensors, that disappears; on APS-C and full-frame sensors, you see elongated stars in the corners. The supplied flattener is calculated for this lens and precisely resolves that, without the hassle of third-party remote rings.
The 2-inch Power Linear Crayford with 1:10 microfine adjustment carries the entire camera train and rotates for the correct framing. Everything comes in the aluminum case.

Featured accessories
The Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch filter (89 euros) screws into the image train for night photography in light skies, and the Omegon Powerbank 10k 12V (39.90 euros) keeps the complete set powered for a night.
For whom yes, for whom no
Well: astrophotographers with a DSLR or astro camera who want a complete, corrected system right away. Not: those who primarily look visually; then the 80/500 is sufficient without a flat-field corrector and that saves almost two hundred euros. If you're unsure between the models? Choice assistant helpt. More Omegon is on the brand page.
