The William Optics mounting plate gives the iOptron SkyGuider Pro the screw options that the tracker itself lacks: M6, M8, and 1/4-20 threads. This allows you to mount a dovetail clamp, and thus a small telescope or complete camera train, directly onto your tracker.
The assembly is simple: unscrew the side, insert the plate, tighten. The strong aluminum keeps everything rigid, even on the go.
