Vaonis Vespera Solar Filter turns your Vespera into a powerful instrument for solar observation. With this specially designed glass filter, you safely observe the sun and capture sunspots - the dark areas that say something about our star's activity. This way you experience astronomy not only at night, but also in the middle of the day.
In conjunction with the Singularity app, use the dedicated Sun Mode to track the sun live on your screen. From the Observation tab, you can easily take pictures that capture changes in solar activity. By taking shots at different times, you can compare sunspots over days or even weeks and see the solar cycle in action.
Although automatic video recording is not yet available, the jpg images can easily be downloaded and incorporated into editing software or animations. This way you can create your own timelapse of the evolution of sunspots. With an exposure time of 250 µs per shot, the solar filter delivers bright and high-contrast results.
The filter is made of special glass that drastically reduces light intensity. This keeps your telescope safe and your vision optimally protected. The app also guides you step-by-step during observation, so you can experiment worry-free.
Application
Ideal for owners of the Vaonis Vespera who also want to use their telescope during the day. With this filter you can safely observe and photograph sunspots and follow the dynamics of solar activity.
