RedCat 71 with internal focuser: compact power for full-frame

The William Optics RedCat 71 WIFD combines the proven 71/350 Petzval optics with the internal WIFD focuser. You get a bright, sharp, and color-pure image for astrophotography and nature photography, with a balance that remains stable because nothing moves outside the tube.

The RedCat 71 WIFD with internal focuser and prism beam splitter

Fast, tight, and without sagging

With f/4.9, the lens captures a lot of light: shorter exposures, less noise, and more detail. The image remains flat all the way to the corners of a full-frame sensor, without a separate flattener. The WIFD focuser tolerates heavy camera setups without shifting, and the Bahtinov mask in the lens hood allows for precise focusing.

In the box

  • Optical tube RedCat 71/350 with WIFD focuser
  • Integrated Bahtinov mask in the lens hood
  • Arca-Swiss and Vixen-Style dovetail
  • Nylon tote bag

Featured accessories

A William Optics UniGuide 32mm Guidescope (159 euros) completes the setup for long exposures. William Optics' M48 camera adapters are available for common mounts; choose the variant for your camera.

For whom yes, for whom no

For: Astrophotographers who want the RedCat 71 optics with the latest internal focuser, also as a travel and nature lens. Not for: Those who want to observe visually with eyepieces; the ZenithStar line is the logical choice for that.
