Sky-Watcher SKYTEE-2 mount: double load capacity on your own tripod
This loose SKYTEE-2 mount is built for stability. You can place one or two telescopes in the Vixen-style saddles, clamp them down, and everything is steady. The load capacity of approximately 15 kg can be distributed across both saddles, for example, a large refractor plus a compact second tube for guests.

Both axes have friction control and slow-motion fine-tuning: quickly swing to a new target, then precisely adjust. The counterweight holder with a Ø20 mm rod balances heavier combinations. Without motors or electronics, the head is low-maintenance and quiet.
Included
- SKYTEE-2 mount head with two Vixen-style saddles
- Slow-motion fine adjustment on both axes
- Counterweight holder (rod Ø20 mm)
Featured accessories
The Sky-Watcher 1.75 inch stainless steel tripod for EQ5 and HEQ5 is the matching base: the complete SKYTEE-2 set comes with this same tripod. The 2.3 kg counterweight kit helps balance a second tube.
For whom yes, for whom no
For those who already have an EQ5-class tripod or pier and are looking for a heavy-duty manual alt-azimuth mount. Not for those who do not yet own a tripod; the complete SKYTEE-2 set would be the more logical purchase.
