Omegon Pro RC 304/2432 Truss OTA: the most accessible 12-inch truss RC

The Omegon Pro RC 304/2432 Truss Brings observatory-class performance within reach: 12-inch hyperbolic quartz optics (f/8) in an open carbon truss construction, with a 3-inch monorail focuser, fan, and adjustable mirror cell. Stars remain round even in the corners of large format sensors, without a corrector.

A Ritchey-Chrétien uses two hyperbolic mirrors: the design of virtually every professional observatory. The result is a large, coma-free field of view without a corrector: stars remain round all the way to the edges of the sensor.

The open carbon truss construction is the recipe of professional observatories: rigid, light, and thermally stable, with natural ventilation that prevents its own microclimate inside the tube. The built-in 12V fan cools the primary mirror up to twice as fast, so you're working at full sharpness sooner.

Built for fixed setup

The ball-bearing 3-inch monorail focuser illuminates large format image fields without vignetting, and the adjustable mirror holder makes precise collimation routine. Three extension tubes set the back focus for any camera configuration.

The Losmandy dovetail couples to heavy mounts; this is an instrument for the observatory or the serious fixed setup.
