The Omegon Advanced Dobsonian 254/1250 is the classic 10-inch from the Advanced line: parabolic mirror, wooden rocker box, and a large 9x50 finder scope. Approximately 1300 times more light than the naked eye brings globular clusters and galaxies within reach. A Dobsonian consists of two parts: tube and rocker box. Set it up, point it, look. No alignment, no electronics, maximum mirror for your money.

10 inch parabolic optics

The two included eyepieces cover wide-field and medium magnification; up to approximately 350x is practically usable, depending on the atmosphere. The f/4.9 optics require precise collimation, and the 9x50 finder shows fainter guide stars than the usual smaller finders.

Wooden rocker box with Crayford

The wooden rocker box rotates smoothly on Teflon bearings and the 2-inch Crayford focuser sharpens on ball bearings, even with heavy 2-inch eyepieces.
