National Geographic Solar 76/350 Reflector

Safely explore the sun, and keep looking after sunset

The National Geographic Solar 76/350 Reflector is specially developed for safe solar observation. The included certified solar filter is placed on the tube opening on the objective side. The special film blocks infrared, ultraviolet, and most visible light, allowing you to view sunspots and the structure of the solar surface safely. A viewfinder has been deliberately omitted: this design prevents children or beginners from accidentally pointing towards the sun without a filter.

Never look at the sun through a telescope without an approved solar filter on the objective end. Check the filter for damage before each use.

Compact, bright and ready to use immediately

The 76mm mirror and short focal length of 350mm (f/4.6) provide a wide, bright field of view. At about 2 kg, you can take the telescope anywhere. The azimuthal mount (AZ-1) moves like a camera tripod: up, down, left, and right, without complicated adjustments.

From sunrise to starry sky

After sunset, you can use the same telescope for the Moon, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons, and bright deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula. With the 20mm and 4mm eyepieces and the 2x Barlow lens, you can switch between overview and detail; realistically useful up to about 150x magnification. With the included smartphone adapter, you can take your first photos of the Moon and sunspots, always with a filter.

Suitable for: Families and beginners who want to safely observe the sun and discover the most important celestial objects. Not suitable for: Those primarily interested in viewing faint deep-sky objects; for that, a larger aperture like the 114/900 is a better choice.
