The complete first reflector with equatorial mount
The Celestron AstroMaster 76 EQ is the complete beginner's set for your first steps into astronomy. The 76 mm mirror captures over a hundred times more light than the naked eye: in addition to countless moon craters, you'll see the rings of Saturn and the four Galilean moons of Jupiter. Under a dark sky, even the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy come within reach.
CG-2 Mount: Classic Sky Following
After a single pool setup, you track each object with a single rotational movement on the slow-motion rod. The LED viewfinder helps you locate your targets. The 20mm and 10mm eyepieces provide 35x and 70x magnification; realistically usable up to approximately 152x with an additional eyepiece or Barlow lens.
For whom yes, for whom no
For: the beginner astronomer on a limited budget who still wants a real reflecting telescope on an equatorial mount. Not for: those who want to get the most out of deep-sky observing; the AstroMaster 130 EQ captures almost three times as much light for a modest price increase.
