Bresser Messier 203/1000 Hexafoc OTA

8-inch deep-sky refractor for your own mount!

The Bresser Messier 203/1000 Hexafoc OTA brings full 8-inch optics to your existing setup. The parabolic mirror captures over 800 times more light than the naked eye: galaxies, nebulae, and globular clusters are well within reach. Via the Vixen-Style dovetail, the tube clicks onto any mount with a standard Vixen clamp.

Parabolic 8-inch optics

With a 1000 mm focal length (f/5), this tube combines light-gathering power with a usable field of view. With the 26mm Super Plössl eyepiece, you get 38x magnification; consider approximately 406x as the maximum. The 2.5-inch Hexafoc stably supports heavy eyepieces and camera equipment.

Which mount fits this?

An 8-inch telescope requires a sturdy mount: the Bresser EXOS-2/EQ-5 mount on tripod (€539) is the minimum, while the Bresser EXOS-2 EQ GoTo mount (€998) is the comfortable choice with automatic tracking. We do not recommend an EQ-4 class mount for this size.
