The Bresser Messier 152/1900 Hexafoc OTA is the top tube in the Maksutov line. The 152mm aperture captures approximately 472 times more light than the naked eye, the 2.5 inch Hexafoc carries camera equipment, and the piggyback adapter carries a camera on the tube.

6-inch Maksutov with Hexafoc

The relatively fast f/12.5 keeps bright deep-sky objects within reach, in addition to the Moon and planets. With the 26mm eyepiece, you get 73x magnification; consider approximately 300x as the maximum. The Hexafoc with 1.25 and 2 inch adapters focuses smoothly without shifting. Allow for 30 to 45 minutes of cool-down time for the sharpest image.

Which mount fits this?

This tube deserves a solid base: the Bresser EXOS-2/EQ-5 mount on tripod (539 euros) is the minimum, the Bresser EXOS-2 EQ GoTo mount (998 euros) the comfortable choice with automatic tracking and ST-4 port for photography.
