Omegon 154/600 Pro Astrograph Carbon OTA

Omegon 154/600 Pro Astrograph Carbon OTA: fast control in carbon

The Omegon Pro Astrograph 154/600 Carbon It's all about control: a rigid carbon tube, CNC components, and a precise focuser that work together to ensure your setup keeps doing what it's supposed to do, even during long exposures. The fast optics in the f/4 class gather a lot of light in a short time: more usable frames per night.

Carbon barely expands or shrinks with temperature changes: the focal point stays right where you set it at night.

Losmandy and M56: built on stability

The 2-inch Rack and Pinion focuser with M56 connection and 1:10 dual-speed fine focusing holds the camera train securely in place. The Losmandy dovetail clamps wider and more stably than a Vixen: precisely what a fast astrograph on a serious mount deserves. Dust cap and finder base are included.

At f/3.9, collimation is critical and rewarding: well-aligned, this tube delivers tight stars across the entire field.

Featured accessories

The Omegon laser collimator (44.90 euros) keeps the mirrors aligned; with every Newtonian, one belongs in the drawer. The Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch filter (89 euros) brings out emission nebulae under light skies, and the Omegon Powerbank 10k 12V (39.90 euros) powers the mount and camera on location.

For whom yes, for whom no

Pros: astrophotographers looking for speed and mechanical reliability in medium format. Cons: those who want more image scale on small objects; the 203/800 Carbon is the bigger sibling with the same build philosophy. Are you hesitating between the models? The Choice assistant helpt.
