Omegon Pro 61/360 APO Triplet Refractor + 0.75x Reducer: triplet plus reducer: faster and flatter

The Omegon Pro APO AP 61/360 with 0.75x reducer is the complete photo package of the small triplet: the same 61 mm ED optics, but with a matching reducer that brings the focal length back to 270 mm and the focal ratio to f/4.4. Shorter exposures, a wider field, and a flatter image right into the corners.

An apochromat converges all colors to a focal point. Stars remain white and point-like, without the purple edges of simple lenses: precisely what a camera sensor would mercilessly reveal.

The 2.5-inch rack and pinion focuser of the Omegon AP 61/360

Why the reducer makes the difference

At f/4.4 you collect the same signal in almost half the time compared to f/5.9. That means lower demands on your tracking accuracy and more usable images per night. The reducer is optically matched to this lens, so stars remain sharp right into the corners.

The 2.5-inch rack and pinion focuser with 1:10 micro-focus carries camera plus reducer without slipping.

Included

  • Triplet ED lens 61/360
  • 0.75x reducer (270 mm, f/4.4)
  • 2.5-inch rack and pinion focuser with 1:10 microfocus
  • CNC tube with extendable dew shield
  • Oculai adapter
  • Vixen Dovetail and Ring Mounts

Featured accessories

The Omegon Powerbank 10k 12V (39.90 euros) powers the camera and mount for a whole night and the Omegon Pro UHC 2-inch filter (89 euros) brings out emission nebulae under a city sky.

For whom yes, for whom no

Pros: astrophotographers who immediately want to get the maximum out of the 61 mm triplet: faster, wider, and flatter right out of the box. Cons: those who primarily observe visually; in that case, the standalone AP 61/360 without reducer is more cost-effective. Are you hesitating between the models? The Choice assistant helpt.
