The TeleVue TV-60 is a particularly compact apochromatic refractor for the advanced user who wants to combine maximum portability with high-quality optics. With a 60mm aperture and a 360mm focal length (f/6), this is a true travel-APO that you can effortlessly take to dark observing sites or use for daytime nature observation.

With a tube length of only about 25 cm, this telescope easily fits into a backpack or carry-on luggage. The all-metal construction and refined finish clearly indicate that this is not an entry-level model, but a serious instrument in an extremely compact size.

Broad image and surprisingly versatile

Thanks to its short focal length, the TV-60 offers a wide field of view of approximately 4.3°, depending on the eyepiece used. Large star fields and open star clusters are beautifully shown, with a natural color rendering and high contrast thanks to the apochromatic doublet.

The Moon is displayed sharply and clearly, with distinct structures at appropriate magnifications. For planets, basic details are visible under good conditions, but don't expect extensive detail with a 60 mm aperture. The strength of this telescope lies primarily in low to medium magnifications and wide field-of-view views.

For deep-sky objects, bright objects are visible under a dark sky, but faint nebulae and galaxies are not the primary domain of this size.

Ultralight and refined focus

The TV-60 is equipped with a precise helical focuser combined with a slide focuser for coarse adjustment. This ensures a smooth and precise focusing, where the eyepiece doesn't rotate - convenient for both visual observation and photography.

With its low weight, this telescope is excellent for combining with a light alt-azimuth mount or photo tripod (with suitable adapter). This is an OTA (optical tube assembly) without a mount and without GoTo.

The included black protective cover ensures that you can transport the telescope safely.
