ZWO Camera ASI 585 MC-Air Color: The affordable all-in-one with built-in ASIAIR

The ASI585 MC-Air brings the all-in-one concept to an accessible price point. Inside a compact housing, three devices are combined: the glare-free Sony IMX585 imaging sensor (3840 x 2160, 8.3 MP), an SC2210 guide sensor, and a complete ASIAIR astro-computer with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz) and an external antenna.

No laptop, no separate ASIAIR module, no separate guide camera: you control the entire session, including live stacking, wirelessly from your phone or tablet.

Two sensors, one target

The IMX585 main sensor with 2.9-micrometer pixels captures planets, the moon, and nebulae flicker-free. The integrated guide sensor keeps your mount on track precisely for long exposures.

Practical caveat: stars in the extreme corners of the guiding image sometimes do not appear perfectly round due to optical measurement. This does not affect tracking accuracy.

Wireless freedom

With the ASIAIR app, you plan objects, let platesolving handle framing, and monitor live stacking on your screen. The dual-band Wi-Fi with an external antenna keeps the connection stable, even at a distance from your equipment.

This way, a simple mount with just this one camera grows into a full-fledged deep-sky set.
