The ZWO ASI432MM Mono is a bright monochrome camera with a large sensor, perfect for shots of the sun, moon and, to a lesser extent, deep-sky objects. Thanks to the Sony IMX432 sensor with 9 µm pixels, this camera offers exceptionally wide dynamic range, high sensitivity and razor-sharp details.
The ASI432MM is completely free of amplifier glow (amp glow) and therefore delivers extremely clean images, even at longer exposure times. While its resolution is modest (1.77 MP), this is more than compensated for by its speed (up to 120 fps), low noise and exceptionally large full well capacity of 97,000 e-.
Key features
- Sony IMX432 sensor (1.77 MP) - 9 µm pixels for maximum light output
- No amplifier glow (Zero Amp Glow) - perfect for stacking or long exposures
- Images per second - Up to 120 fps at full resolution (1608 × 1104)
- Full Well Capacity of 97,000 e- - prevents glare from bright objects
- Great for IR, solar and lunar photography - when using appropriate filters
- Clear AR glass filter - UV and IR are transmitted (IR-cut optional)
Applications
✓ Full lunar or solar disk (with appropriate solar filters)
✓ Fast planetary shots with high frame rate
✓ IR photography for better stability in poor seeing
✓ Deep-sky photography at low noise and stacking
✓ EAA and guiding thanks to ST-4 port
