ZWO ASI2600MC Air: camera, guider, and ASIAIR in one housing

The ASI2600MC Air combines a complete astrophotography setup in one housing: the renowned 26-megapixel Sony IMX571 APS-C sensor, an integrated SC2210 guide camera, and a full-fledged built-in ASIAIR computer. Separate guidescope, separate guider, separate mini-computer, and the associated cables: all unnecessary.

The image sensor is completely glow-free, has a 16-bit readout with 14 stops of dynamic range, and achieves a quantum efficiency of over 91%. The two-stage TEC cooling system cools the sensor to 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature; a built-in anti-condensation heater (5 watts) keeps the window clear.

All in one, really

Via the built-in ASIAIR, you can control the entire session wirelessly from your phone or tablet: plate solving, framing, autofocus (with EAF), guiding, and capture planning. A power cable is all the camera needs.

The integrated SC2210 guide sensor (1920 x 1080, strong in near-infrared) is guided by the same optics, without flexure between the guide and main camera.

The proven 2600 sensor

The IMX571 is the standard in modern deep-sky photography for a reason: 6248 x 4176 pixels of 3.76 micrometers on APS-C format (23.5 x 15.7 mm), a full well of 50,000 electrons (80,000 in extended mode), and read noise from 1.0 electron.

The 512 MB DDR3 buffer memory keeps the transfer stable; the M54 connector fits modern correctors and filter drawers.

For whom yes, for whom no

Hello For those seeking the simplest route to serious deep-sky results: fewer cables, fewer sources of error, faster astrophotography.

Not For those who already own an ASIAIR and a guiding set, the ASI2600MC Duo or a separate Pro camera would be more cost-effective.
