ZWO ASI2600MM Pro Mono: The Mono Standard for Serious Deep-Sky
For many advanced astrophotographers, the ASI2600MM Pro is the ultimate choice: the monochrome Sony IMX571 APS-C sensor with 6248 x 4176 pixels of 3.76 micrometers, native 16-bit readout, and 14 stops of dynamic range. Back-illuminated, with a quantum efficiency of 80 to 90% and completely free of amplifier glow.
The two-stage TEC cooling brings the sensor down to 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature, and the screw-lock Pro housing prevents internal condensation. Together with the 512 MB DDR3 buffer memory, this is a camera that performs predictably night after night.

Why mono on APS-C
Each filter channel receives the full 26 megapixels and full sensitivity. For LRGB, this means maximum sharpness; for narrowband, it means faint OIII and SII structures become accessible that color sensors miss.
The 3.76-micrometer pixels sample correctly on most apochromats and astrographs between f/4 and f/7.

The complete workflow
Combine with the EFW 7x36mm filter wheel and 36mm LRGB plus narrowband sets for a seven-channel setup without vignetting. Guiding is handled by an off-axis guider; the rigid Pro housing keeps everything in place.
USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 are both supported; the cooling requires a 12-volt power supply.

For whom yes, for whom no
Hello advanced deep-sky photographers who want to run the complete mono workflow on APS-C.
Not For those seeking the simplicity of an integrated guider; the ASI2600MM Duo offers precisely that.
