Sky-Watcher HM5 polarimeter: accurately at the pole in minutes

An equatorial mount only performs properly when the RA axis points towards the celestial pole. This HM5 polarimeter screws into the hollow RA axis of your EQ3-2 or HEQ5 and displays a target pattern that allows you to precisely place Polaris in the correct spot. Aligning becomes a routine of a few minutes instead of guesswork.

For visual use, that means following the sun more quietly; for photography, a good polar alignment is simply the basis for round stars. Combine with the polarizer light to see the pattern even against a dark sky.
