The PE200 places your ZWO AM3 or AM5 20 cm higher. This prevents a long telescope or a setup with a zenith mirror from hitting the tripod at low viewing angles. With 200 mm, this is the higher version; the PE160 gives 160 mm.
The pillar is made of anodized aluminum: rigid, with little thermal expansion and wear resistance. The load capacity of 50 kg is more than sufficient for both visual and photographic setups with larger optics, while the pillar itself weighs only 1.6 kg.
