Sky-Watcher EQ6-i Pro SynScan GoTo Wi-Fi: EQ6 power, controlled from your phone.

The EQ6-i is the app-controlled descendant of the EQ6 family. With a load capacity of 25 kg, it can carry heavy telescopes and complete astrophotography setups. The built-in Wi-Fi module connects to the free SynScan Pro app on your smartphone, tablet, or PC: from there, you can select from the full object database and control the mount. A physical hand controller is not included, but can be connected as an option.

Silent stepper motors with belt drive follow objects accurately and without disturbing noise. The illuminated polar scope makes polar alignment quick and controllable. For astrophotography, an autoguider port, USB connection, and SNAP shutter control for your camera are included.

EQ6-i or EQ6-R Pro?

The EQ6-i offers more payload capacity (25 kg vs. 20 kg) for a lower price, but it does not come with a hand controller. Those who prefer tactile buttons in the dark should choose the EQ6-R Pro or order the SynScan hand controller separately. Those who already work via app or PC will get the most mount for their money with the EQ6-i.
