Sky-Watcher CQ350 Pro SynScan GoTo: Bridging the Gap Between EQ6 and EQ8

The CQ350 Pro fills the gap between the EQ6-R (20 kg) and the EQ8-R (50 kg): it can carry up to 35 kg, making it suitable for large telescopes and heavy photography setups, whether mobile or in a backyard or club observatory. This article concerns only the mount head; it fits the matching 2.75-inch stainless steel tripod and the EQ8 pier tripod.

The belt drive with stepper motors moves silently and smoothly, with an encoder resolution of approximately 0.023 arcseconds. The integrated SynScan V5 hand controller provides access to 42,900 objects; via the optional Wi-Fi adapter, you can also control the mount with the SynScan Pro app. Autoguiding and PEC correction are supported.

Double clamp, double commitment

The dovetail clamp accepts both 45 mm (Vixen-style) and 75 mm (Losmandy-style) rails. This allows you to switch between different tubes and setups without adapters.
