Omegon MightyMak 90 Titania Dobson: The top model as a complete travel set

The Omegon MightyMak 90 Titania is the most complete version of the top model: the 90/1000 Maksutov (f/11.3) on the updated MiniDob II mount, with a tripod for terrestrial observation. The largest aperture in the series, usable on a table, on a tripod, and for travel.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

MiniDob II with tripod: standing observation

The updated MiniDob II mount has rubber feet for grip on slippery surfaces and genuine Teflon pads for smooth, shock-free movements. New in this Titania set: the included tripod. This allows you to observe while standing, wherever you want, without needing to find a table.

Shows 90 mm opening

About 165 times more light than the naked eye. With the 25mm eyepiece, you look at 40x; with additional eyepieces, up to about 180x is usable. Fine lunar craters, the cloud bands and moons of Jupiter, Saturn's ring, and bright double stars. During the day, a full-fledged spotting scope with an upright image.

Telephoto lens for your camera

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes: the image is upright.

Featured accessories

The Omegon Cronus 7mm eyepiece (79 euros) provides planetary magnification at 143x, and the Omegon 7-21mm zoom eyepiece (69 euros) continuously covers 48x to 143x. An Omegon Premium moon filter (19.90 euros) dampens moonlight, and the Omegon 104-128mm solar filter (69 euros) fits onto the 110mm tube for safe solar observation, including during the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026.

Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this will cause permanent eye damage within a second.

For whom yes, for whom no

For those who want the best optics in the most complete package for stargazing and nature observation. Not for those primarily interested in deep-sky viewing or maximum aperture per euro; for this price, a classic Dobsonian with a much larger mirror is also available. Dobson page.
