The Omegon MightyMak 60 is de kleinste Maksutov uit de serie: een buis van slechts 0,6 kilo met 60 mm opening en 700 mm brandpuntsafstand (f/11,7). Compleet met tafelstatief en tas weegt het hele pakket ongeveer 1,5 kilo. Hij past in vrijwel elke tas en staat in seconden klaar, thuis op tafel of onderweg.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

Lange brandpuntsafstand in een korte buis

Met het meegeleverde 25 mm oculair kijk je op 28x: genoeg voor de maanschijf met kraters, de maantjes van Jupiter en de ring van Saturnus. Met extra oculairs is tot ongeveer 120x bruikbaar.

De 60 mm lens vangt ongeveer 73 keer meer licht dan het blote oog. Dit is een specialist voor Maan, planeten en natuur, niet voor zwakke nevels.

Ook een telelens en spotting scope

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes: the image is upright.

Ready for a bigger tripod

The GP dovetail fits virtually any astronomical mount, and three photo tripod threads make any photo tripod usable. This telescope thus grows with a larger setup later on.
