The Omegon Flatfield ED 5mm eyepiece lets you see details that are often lost with standard eyepieces. Thanks to the flat field of view, objects remain sharp even at the edge of the image. This allows you to see planets and moon craters exactly as they are meant to be seen, without distortion. The ED lens element ensures a clean image with natural colors and high contrast, so that fine details stand out better.

More overview with a large field of view
With an apparent field of view of 60°, you are not looking through a narrow tunnel, but through a wide window on space. This gives a much calmer and more pleasant image than classic Plössl eyepieces. You need less correction and can track objects more easily, especially at higher magnifications.

Comfortable viewing even at high magnification
The view is relaxed and forgiving. Even if your eye is not perfectly centered, the image remains stable without disturbing shadows. The eye relief of 16 mm also makes this eyepiece suitable for eyeglass wearers. The fixed, pivoting eyecup blocks stray light so that your attention remains fully focused on the image.

Reliable quality for any telescope
All lens surfaces are multi-coated for maximum brightness and minimal light loss. The eyepiece performs excellently even in bright telescopes such as Newton systems with f/5. The 1.25-inch connection and filter thread make it easy to combine with lunar or color filters.
