Full 130 mm ED apochromatic telescope, an H-alpha solar telescope during the day
The Lunt LS130MT It's not a solar telescope with a night mode as an afterthought. It's a fully-fledged 130mm f/7 ED apochromat with an FPL-51 triplet objective, for which Lunt adds an H-alpha module. During the day, you observe the sun in H-alpha; in the evening, you remove the etalon unit, mount the supplied extension tube, and you have a serious APO for deep-sky and planets.
130 mm opening: resolution rarely seen on the sun
With a 130 mm unobstructed aperture, you achieve a resolution on the sun that virtually no other H-alpha telescope in this segment offers: layered prominences, fine fibrils, plage structure, and active regions down to the granulation level. The internal etalon with a bandwidth of less than 0.7 Ångström is tuned with the Pressure-Tuner: uniform from edge to edge, with no wear.
B1200-blockfilter: Visuals and Photography with Smaller Sensors
The B1200 blocking filter (12 mm clear aperture) is in a zenith mirror with a 1.25-inch eyepiece holder and T2 connection. This is more than sufficient for visual observation and photography with planetary cameras. If you work with large sensors and full-disk images, then look at the B3400 version with the blocking filter fixed in the focuser.
Expandable system
The LS130MT is the heart of a modular platform. With the DSII Double-Stack module, you can further reduce bandwidth for maximum surface contrast, and with the Ca-K filter module, you can observe the sun in the calcium line. Both modules can be found below as additions. At night, with the extension tube, the telescope is a 130 mm f/7 triplet for visual use and astrophotography.

An H-alpha solar telescope is safe for solar observation due to its closed filter system. Check the etalon and blocking filter for damage before each use. Never look at the sun through an ordinary telescope, binoculars, or finder without a certified solar filter on the objective end.
